Mr. Cornelison's practice focuses on patent prosecution and client counseling in the electronic, computer and telecommunication fields. He also advices clients on copyright, trademark, trade secret and patent law as they apply to various technologies, including electromagnetic devices, RF systems, communications, electronic commerce, software-related business methods, surgical implants and medical instruments. Mr. Cornelison's practice also includes preparation of validity and infringement reports for client counseling and litigation. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Cornelison was an examiner in the United States Patent and Trademark Office. From 1985 to 1995, he was a software engineer with Bendix Field Engineering Corporation and American Systems Corporation, specializing in the design, integration and certification of military radar systems, and military command and control systems, respectively. A graduate of Johns Hopkins University in 1985 with a degree in Electrical Engineering (with emphasis in Computer Science), Mr. Cornelison received his law degree from George Mason University (Patent Track) in 1994.
